One of the key features you look for when joining a coworking space is convenience: in location, in the way you work, and in reserving space. To make reservations available to our users 24/7, the PatchWork Collective has joined Proximity, an online platform for coworking spaces across the country. The platform lets you join, pay membership fees, and make online reservations. It all starts with becoming a PatchWork Community Member.
Become a PatchWork Community Member with Proximity
Proximity is a secure, integrated, online platform for coworking spaces like PatchWork Collective and our members. We believe it will improve our members’ experience and make it easier for local business owners to use our facilities.
Anyone who wants to use the PatchWork Collective should start by creating a Community Member account on our member portal. As a Community Member you will be able to change your Membership Level, reserve offices and conference rooms, and get tickets to upcoming PatchWork events. You can get to the portal from our home page, or by clicking this button:
Once you are there, click on Register in the top right corner.
You will be taken to a new page where you can create a username and password and become a PatchWork Community Member:
Choosing Your Membership Level
If you are an occasional user, or just need to reserve a space, the Community Member level is right for you. But if you want to drop in and work, or are looking to make the PatchWork Collective part of your regular routine, you may want to choose a different membership level:
To change your Membership Level, head back to the main page and click on the level that works best for you. You’ll be taken to a page where you can confirm your choice and the cost, enter any coupons. Discounts are available for government and non-profit entities.
Once you click “Join PatchWork Collective” you will be prompted to add a payment method. You can connect your membership to a credit card or bank account. Every period your payment method will be charged automatically, so you never have to worry about remembering to renew your membership.
Reserve Space at the PatchWork Collective
If you are using a Day Pass to work in our shared coworking area, you don’t need to make reservations. Instead, you can simply click “Use your punch pass” on the home page and get started working.
For everyone else, the next step is to reserve a space. Click on “Reservations” at the top of the page, or scroll down and click on the green banner that says “Time to get things done?”
Here you’ll see a calendar of all the upcoming events and reservations at PatchWork. You can filter the calendar based on the type of room you want (Private Office vs Conference Room), or pick the specific room you want to see its availability. Click “Book Now” to reserve a space.
You will be directed to a new page where you can pick your date, time, and room. Click on the Calendar icon to move to the day you want, and then click on the gray line next to the office you want at the time you want. You can drag the box to change the time or extend the reservation.
Once everything is correct, click “Book Now”. Depending on your Membership Level, you will be able to use credits or enter a payment method to reserve the space. You will be asked to confirm your reservation and then be prompted to add a payment method. You can connect your membership to a credit card or bank account. If you already have a payment method on file, it will be charged automatically.
